The Child Care Action Council and Safe Kids Thurston County collaborate with the local police department every summer to host a fun-filled event for families to learn about safe biking habits. I had the pleasure of working on branding and asset creation for the event. We needed flashy branding to attract families while also showing that it was a biking event. One of the biggest deliverables was a passport and passport stickers; kids needed an incentive to travel through obstacle courses and receive an award for demonstrating safe biking skills. I designed an easy-to-understand booklet with colorful accompanying stickers. Another deliverable was a head-in-hole stand for kids to take pictures behind.

TWO CONCEPTS

I gave the team two concepts to choose from for the event’s branding. We had a hard time choosing one but in the end the team felt that the sticker concept was the most whimsical while helping reinforce the sticker-centered theme of the event.
